Long Range Open Shoot events, available on selected days only, allow shooters use of the 1000-yard known distance range. Shooting begins at 8:30 AM at the 200 yard line. Once shooters determine their dope and general consensus is achieved, they will move back in increments, ending at 1000 yards. Pit service is provided to mark the targets, providing quick feedback on shot placement. Event participants will alternate between shooting and assisting in the pits. The event ends at 4 PM.
Shooters unsure of their dopes should arrive at 8:30.
All shooting is done in the prone position. Any weapon capable of accurately and safely placing rounds on target is welcome, including .50 rifles. Full metal jacket ammo is allowed. Tracer ammo is prohibited.
