Vendor Spotlight: CS GunWorks Just like the rest of us, Mike Cecil encountered enough poor customer service from firearm-related vendors to write a book. A longtime competitive shooter, he opened CS GunWorks based on the novel idea that the customer is doing the favor for the vendor, not the other way around. Since then his Sacramento-area business has won a stellar reputation selling high-end optics and other firearm-related gear. In addition to off-the-shelf products from Leupold, US Optics, NightForce, and Schmidt and Bender, CS GunWorks provides equipment not available elsewhere. Working with the Leupold Custom Shop, Mike stocks special products such as an illuminated Mark 4 4.5-14x50mm LR/T with ½ moa M2 knobs. US Optics, having gained their deservingly fantastic reputation in the tactical shooting community, now has a 12 week lead time on their factory-ordered, high end scopes. Development of the US Optics S10S (also known as the CSGW-ST10), a slimline version of the fixed-power S10, was prompted by CS GunWorks. Products from vendors including 5.11, Wiley X, Eagle, and Tac-Force are also stocked and available. Specialty gear, including night vision and body armor, is available for specific customer needs.
